Sponsored by Bowen’s Little Pet Shop at Artisan Square, Hosted by the Union Steamship Marina on Bowen Island, and Sponsored by Doc Morgan’s with all proceeds donated to British Columbia Guide Dog Services and Autism Support Dogs


BC Guide dog Services is a registered charity dedicated and committed to the development of the Guide Dog Movement. Their aim is to improve availability and an increased level of service through the provision of professionally trained guide dogs to the visually impaired. Autism Support Dogs is a new sister organization aiming to provide professionally trained Autism Support Dogs for children with autism aged four to ten years.

Please help us celebrate man’s best friend at this tail-wagging day of contests, exhibits and refreshments for the whole family.

WHAT:17th Annual Dog Days of Summer
WHERE: Union Steamship Marina, Snug Cove, Bowen Island
WHEN: Sunday August 8, 2010 - registration 11am, events 12 noon
WHO: ALL PROCEEDS DONATED TO BC GUIDE DOG SERVICES AND AUTISM SUPPORT DOGS

Admission: Free
Contests: Best Dressed Dog, Dog/Owner Look Alike, Musical Mats and more…
Registration: Starts at 11am, events begin at 12 noon
How to get there: Bowen Island Ferry from Horseshoe Bay
Parking:  Limited on Bowen Island, you can park in Horseshoe Bay and walk on the Bowen Island ferry
Ferry Times: Leaving Horseshoe Bay 9:05 am, 10:05 am, 11:05 am, 12:10 pm, then a break until 2:35 pm. Ferries return from Bowen Island approximately every hour from 3pm on. Please refer to www.bcferries.com for exact ferry schedule.
