BC & Alberta Guide Dog Services Message of Assurance

Any gift given with special instructions will be absolutely respected. Any and all   instructions will be carried out to the full, under the supervision of our Volunteer Board of Directors.

Make a Donation or a Pledge

BC - Alberta Guide Dog Services provides services free to Clients. We are supported through donations from Individuals, Corporations, Foundations, Service Clubs and Special Events. We do not receive any government funding, and rely solely on donations and pledges.

Become a Volunteer

BC - Alberta Guide Dog Services depends on the support of Volunteers. Many different volunteer opportunities are available, including fostering puppies, fostering adult dogs, and providing homes for stud dogs and brood bitches. If your are interested in the fostering program, please contact the office and we will mail you an information package. We also need assistance in the planning of fund-raising activities, public speaking about our work, help in the office, and volunteer driving.

Sponsor a Puppy!

The cost of raising and training one guide dog from birth until they are placed with a guide dog user at approximately two years of age is approximately $37,500 --- a price tag we can't afford without your help! Our clients receive their guide dog for a symbolic $1.

That is why we would like you to consider being a key part of our Puppy Sponsorship Program. For as little as $0.50 per day you can make a world of difference to a blind or visually impaired person by providing them with a professionally trained and supported Guide Dog. $0.50 per day may be small change to you but it means a great deal to us! Organize a Fund-raising Event

Special Events are our best vehicle for raising funds and for generating public involvement and awareness. Should you wish to hold such an event in aid of BC - Alberta Guide Dog Services, we would welcome your support. Please get in touch with our office at (604) 940-4504.
