Alberta Guide Dog Services

Though often viewed as a dog organization, Alberta Guide Dog Services is, in reality, an organization about people. When evaluating blind and visually-impaired applicants' suitability for guide dog training, Alberta Guide Dog Services only sees ability and not disability. All individual guide dog training programs are tailored to the needs of each individual.

The mission of Alberta Guide Dog Services is to meet the demand for professionally-trained Guide Dogs for blind and visually-impaired citizens of Alberta, at all times meeting or exceeding the international standards as established by the International Guide Dog Federation.

Alberta Guide Dog Services is a member of the International Guide Dog Federation, an international accrediting body.

Alberta Guide Dog Services was registered as an extra-provincial corporation in Alberta on May 30, 2002.

Alberta Guide Dog Services is a division of British Columbia Guide Dog Services.
