Our Alberta Team
The following personnel are dedicated to running operations in the Alberta division of BC Guide Dog Services, and work in cooperation with the staff located in the offices in B.C.
Ainsley Grant, Manager, Development & Communications
Ainsley joined the Alberta Guide Dog team in January 2012 as Manager of Development & Communication. An avid animal lover, Ainsley has several years of fund development and communications experience in the non-profit sector, most recently with the Calgary Humane Society, as well as many years experience in marketing and communications in the corporate sector. Ainsley’s primary role is liaising with our amazing donors and volunteers, managing the day-to-day operations of the Alberta office, and organizing and attending events and appearances on behalf of Alberta Guide Dog Services.
She shares her home with 2 wonderful dogs, 2 cats, her husband Rod and 2 teenaged sons – Alex and Austin.
Sherri Olsen, Calgary Puppy Raising Supervisor
Sherri Olsen is the Puppy Raising Supervisor in Calgary. For the past 12 years, Sherri has operated her own professional coaching company, assisting folks with career choices and navigating the dynamics of life. During this time she wrote two books, notably one called COOLdog, a Guide to Safe Off-Leash Fun. She endeavors to create community and safe fun for our dogs in the off-leash parks. A psychology degree, a career coaching professional people, and loads of dog courses are a perfect build-up to joining Alberta Guide Dog Services in January 2011. After all, she did write to Ann Landers when she was twelve years old, asking for advice on how to have a career with dogs!
